How to Create Variant in SAP

This Tutorial will help you to create a variant in SAP. Variants allow you to save your selection parameters in the input screen.

Variants are an interface between the user and the selection screen. They can be used both in dialog and in background mode.

Create Variant in SAP

In order to save a variant just key in the values on selection screen and click on save button. Save Button is available in the SAP Menu bar for the report.

Enter a Variant Name and type meaning description of the variant and click on save button.

Retrieve a Variant

Click the Get Variant Button and select the related variant you’ve created on the system.

In the Variant field, enter the name of the variant that you want to retrieve.

Delete a Variant

Go to selection screen on your program. In any SAP Report Select Go To → Variants → Delete

In the Variant field, enter the name of the variant that you want to delete.

In the next SAP pop-up select the “only in current client” radio button and click Continue.

If we select All Clients option it will delete the variant across all clients.
